Reason for Donation

From September 21 to 23, 1991, the 86th Conference of the Japan Prosthodontic Society and the 4th International College of Prosthodontists Meeting were jointly held at the International Conference Center Hiroshima as the World Congress on Prosthodontics (WCP). This was the first time an international congress on prosthodontics was held in Japan.

Tsuru Hiromichi, then professor of Prosthetic Dentistry Class 1, Hiroshima University School of Dentistry (now known as Advanced Prosthodontics, Program of Dentistry, Graduate School of Biomedical and Health Sciences, Hiroshima University) served as president of the WCP.

This Cornus florida dogwood tree was planted after the congress ended to commemorate the event.
