This Cinnamomum camphora camphor tree was planted by the Hiroshima Branch of All Japan Construction, Transport and General Workers' Union to commemorate the 30 year anniversary of the establishment of its predecessor organization. The tree was planted in the spirit of the abolition of nuclear weapons.

The monument reads: No more Hiroshimas, No more hibakusha, Rid the world of nuclear weapons
