中工場の施設見学方法をお知らせします (Naka Incineration Plant Tour)

　中工場は、最新の技術を導入したごみの焼却工場で、世界的に有名な建築家である谷口吉生氏が設計した、ごみ処理施設のイメージを一新する建築デザインの建物です。
　Incorporating cutting-edge technology in waste incineration, the Naka Incineration Plant, designed by world-renowned architect Yoshio Taniguchi, completely redefines the concept of waste disposal.

　工場内の見学には予約が必要ですが、建物の外観や2階のエコリアムなどは、自由に見学できます。
　Visitors are free to walk the grounds of the incineration plant and access the 2nd floor Ecorium. However, a tour of the facility itself will require advance reservations.

　建築物に関心のある方も是非ご来場ください。
　Those interested in architecture are also more than welcome to visit.

1.建築デザインの見学

※自由に見学できます。

見学内容:工場周辺の緑地帯からの建物外観の見学や、2階エコリアム(中央ガラス通路)の見学(通行可)
見学可能日:毎日(年始年末(12月29日から翌年1月3日)を除く)(ただし、悪天候の場合は、安全のために2階エコリアムを閉鎖することがあります。)
時間:9時から16時30分まで申込不要(自由に見学して下さい。)

Architectural Tour

※Self-guided tour

Tour content: Visitors can view the outside of the building from the green belt that surrounds the plant, and walk through the 2nd floor Ecorium, the glass walkway running through the middle of the plant.
Tour availability: Every day
*Not available from December 29 through January 3. Please note that in times of extreme weather, the 2nd floor Ecorium may be closed for safety reasons.
Hours: 9:00 am to 4:30 pm. Reservations are not necessary for a self-guided tour.

2.【ごみ処理に関する見学】 ※事前の予約が必要です。

【Waste Incineration Tour】 ※Tour requiring advance reservation

1.見学内容:ごみ処理に関する説明及び建物内の見学

1.Tour content: Explanation on the process of waste incineration and tour of the plant interior

2.対象:小学生以上(小学生は保護者同伴でお願いします)

2. Target audience: Elementary students and above
*Elementary students must be accompanied by parent or guardian.

3.見学が可能な日

月曜日から金曜日(祝日、年末年始(12月24日から翌年1月9日)、8月6日を除く)
2月、4月、6月、8月、10月、12月の第3日曜日

3. Tour availability: Weekdays and every 3rd Sunday in February, April, June, August, October, and December
*Not available on national holidays, from December 24 through January 9, and August 6.

4.見学時間及び定員
《月曜日から金曜日》

時間:午前9時から12時の間で、約1時間30分、午後1時30分から4時30分の間で、約1時間30分
定員:各回160人まで(原則として1回1団体まで)

《2月、4月、6月、8月、10月、12月の第3日曜日》

時間:午前10時から11時30分
定員:25人まで

4. Hours and number of visitors:

One tour between 9時00分am and 12:00 pm and another between 1:30 pm and 4:30 pm. Tours last approximately 1 hours and 30minutes.
Number of visitors: Up to 160 people for each tour
<3rd Sunday in February, April, June, August, October, and December>
One tour from 10:00 am to 11:30 am
Number of visitors: Up to 25 people

5.申込方法: 見学希望日の前月の20日までに電話でお申し込みください。

6.注意事項
次の場合は見学をお断りしています。

見学希望日の前月の20日までにお申し込みがない場合
お申し込みをされた日時に、他の団体の予約が入っている場合
施設の運営上、見学を行うことが出来ない場合

6. Please Note:
Grounds on which entry for tours may be refused are as follows:
*Reservations were not made by the 20th of the previous month of requested tour date.
*A tour for other groups has already been scheduled on your requested tour date and time.
*Tours are not possible due to plant operations.

交通案内:広島駅から広島バス24番「吉島営業所」行きに乗車
八丁堀、紙屋町、平和記念公園を経由して南吉島停留所下車,徒歩約5分

Access

Location: 1-5-1 Minami-yoshijima, Naka-ku, Hiroshima 730-0826
Public Transportation: From Hiroshima Station take the #24 bus bound for Yoshijima-eigyosho via Hatchobori, Kamiya-cho, and Peace Memorial Park. Get off at Minami-yoshijima. Approximately 5 minutes on foot.
