Hiroshima Regional Park

Hiroshima Regional Park is a sports facility that can be used by residents year-round for a variety of recreational activities. Facilities include the main stadium, auxiliary track and field ground, two stadiums for ball games, and tennis courts.

Hiroshima Regional Park was the main venue for the 12th Asian Games held in 1994.

• Address: 5-1-1 Ozuka-nishi, Asaminami-ku, Hiroshima
• Open: The park itself is open every day; however, sports facilities are closed on Thursdays (if a national holiday falls on a Thursday, facilities will instead close on the business day immediately preceding), 8/6, and 12/29-1/3. Tennis courts are open on Thursdays.
• Hours: 9 am to 9 pm (Auxiliary track and field ground is open until 5 pm. Seasonal changes may apply.)
• Parking facilities: 640 spaces for stadiums, 80 spaces for tennis courts

How to Get to Hiroshima Regional Park

• From Hiroshima Bus Center, take the bus bound for A-City Hananoki-dai(Aシテイ花の季台行き//A-City Hananoki-dai-yuki) or Central City Kokoro (セントラルシテイこころ行き//Central City Kokoro-yuki) and get off at A-City Chūō (Aシテイ中央//A-City Chūō); approximately 15 minutes on foot.
• Take the Astramline bound for Regional Park (広域公園行//Kōiki-kōen-yuki) and get off at Regional Park Station (広域公園前駅//Kōiki-kōen Mae-eki); approximately 10 minutes on foot.

Although the popular name of the main statium was changed from Hiroshima Big Arch to Edion Stadium on March 1, 2013, its official name remains the same, i.e. Hiroshima Regional Park Main Stadium. Besides the main stadium, no other changes have been made to the names of Regional Park facilities.
