Notice to Parents/Guardians Regarding Attending Designated Elementary Schools(your child will be placed under the care of a caretaker during afterschool hours)

Please be informed that the period which students are allowed to attend schools located outside of their designated school districts (non-designated schools) will end on March 31, 2025.
As such, we would like to remind parents and guardians to submit the attached Notification of Enrollment to the designated school in your child’s school district to complete the transfer procedures. You will also need to obtain the necessary documents for school transfer from the non-designated school that your child is currently attending and submit them to the designated school.
Note: For parents/guardians who have entrusted their child to a caretaker during afterschool hours due to work commitments and other reasons, if you have received permission for your child to attend a non-designated school in the school district of the caretaker’s area of residence and wish to let your child continue attending the same non-designated school, please prepare the following documents and submit them to the School Affairs Division of the Hiroshima Municipal Board of Education within the application period.
Necessary documents
- Document proving the absence of adult supervision at home during afterschool hours
- If you are a company employee, etc., submit a Certificate of Employment.
- If you are self-employed, submit a copy of your tax return, business license, etc.
- Childcare Consent Form (document proving that your child will be placed under the care of a caretaker during afterschool hours)
- A map of your child’s route to and from school (from your child’s residence to the non-designated elementary school that your child is currently attending to the caretaker’s residence)
