Ward Office, Branch Office, Liaison Office Hours and Closings
- Hours of Operation: 8時30分 am to 5時15分 pm (Ninoshima Branch Office Hours: 8 am to 4時45分 pm)
- Closed: Weekends, National Holidays, December 29-January 3, August 6
Note 1: Notifications regarding family registers can still be filed at the Security Office of the Minami Ward Office afterhours or on days the office is closed.
Note 2: The Aosaki Liaison Office will also be closed on Tuesdays and, if a national holiday falls on a Tuesday, the following Wednesday, in addition to the days listed above.
Note 3: You can use the Citizens Service Counter (Japanese) to apply for copies of official documents such as your Resident Records (Certificates of Residence) on weekends, national holidays, and when the ward office is closed.

From Kamiya-cho (紙屋町) and Hatchobori (八丁堀)
- Take the number 23 Hiroshima Bus (広島バス) bound for Daigaku Byōin (大学病院行//Daigaku Byōin yuki//Hiroshima University Hospital); get off at Minami-machi 1-chome (皆実町一丁目). It’s about a one minute walk from there.
From Hiroshima City Hall
- Take the number 7 Hiroshima Bus bound for Niho Shako-mae (仁保車庫前行// Niho Shako-mae yuki) and Mukainada-shin-machi (向洋新町行き//Mukainada Shin-machi yuki); get off at Minami-machi 1-chome (皆実町一丁目). It’s about a one minute walk from there.
From Hiroshima Port
- Take the number 5 Streetcar Line bound for Hiroshima Station via Hijiyama-shita (比治山下経由広島駅行// Hijiyama-shita keiyu Hiroshima Eki yuki); get off at Minami Kuyakusho-mae (Minami Ward Office Streetcar Stop//南区役所前電停). It’s a three minute walk from there.
