Training Content

Thimphu is dealing with such issues as sewage system maintenance and solid waste disposal. During his training, Mr. Phuntsho learned about environmental conservation, city planning, public health and waterworks and sewage treatment.

Peace Study

Mr. Phuntsho visited the Peace Memorial Museum, attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony and visited Funairi Mutsumi-en.

Exchange with Citizens

Mr. Phuntsho gave a talk and had exchange at a community center, visited an elementary school and had exchange with the Environmental Support Network.

Future Plans

Utilizing the results of this training, Mr. Phuntsho plans on implementing a solid waste sorted collection and introducing an environmental quality management system.
