Training Content

Ms. Le hoped to learn about solid waste management/separation and recycling policies and methods, environmental management policy-making, public-private cooperation policies, and database development. She received training in the fields of environmental preservation, public health, and waterworks and sewerage services.

Peace Study

Ms. Le visited the Peace Memorial Museum and attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony. She also participated in the World Peace Bell Assembly (organized by the Hiroshima UNESCO Association).

Exchange with Citizens

Ms. Le spent 3 days and 2 nights at a local homestay and met with Soroptimist International of Hiroshima-Chuo, as well as visiting Yaga Kindergarten and Yaga Elementary School.

Future Plans

Ms. Le plans to utilize the knowledge and technology acquired during this training to set up environmental action plans and raise awareness and understanding among citizens about environmental problems.
