Heads of International Organizations in FY2013

Ms. Sally Fegan-Wyles, Executive Director of UNITAR and Assistant Secretary-General of the United Nations, visited Hiroshima and met with Deputy Mayor Sasaki on April 26, 2013.

Prior to the meeting, she visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims. She also listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

H.E. Mr. Vuk Jeremić, President of the 67th Session of the United Nations General Assembly attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony and made a speech on August 6, 2013.

After the ceremony, Mr. Jeremić visited the Peace Memorial Museum and listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), visited Hiroshima and met with Mayor Matsui on November 20, 2013.

After the meeting, Executive Secretary Zerbo visited the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims and offered a flower wreath. The next day he visited the Peace Memorial Museum and listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.
