Heads of International Organizations in FY2017
Dr. Lassina Zerbo, Executive Secretary of the Preparatory Commission for the Comprehensive Nuclear-Test-Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO), visited Hiroshima and was presented with the title of Hiroshima City Special Honorary Citizenship on August 5, 2017. Following the presentation ceremony, Executive Secretary Zerbo met with Mayor Matsui. On August 6, he attended the Peace Memorial Ceremony and offered a flower wreath.
Mr. Nikhil Seth, Executive Director of the UNITAR, met with Mayor Matsui on March 29, 2018. Mr. Nikhil also offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, visited the Peace Memorial Museum, and listened to an atomic bomb survivor's testimony on the next day.
