G7 Foreign ministers; H.E. Mr. John F. Kerry (USA), H.E. Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier (Germany), The Rt. Hon. Philip Hammond (UK), H.E. Mr. Paolo Gentiloni (Italy), Hon. Stephane Dion (Canada), H.E. Mr. Jean-Marc Ayrault (France), and H.E. Ms. Federica Mogherini (EU) visited Hiroshima to attend the G7 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Hiroshima.

On April 11, 2016, the ministers visited the Peace Memorial Museum, and offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida.

They also made an unscheduled stop at the Atomic Bomb Dome, through a proposal by Secretary Kerry.

H.E. Mr. Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermúdez, First-Vice President of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, visited Hiroshima and met with Mayor Matsui on June 1, 2016.

Prior to the meeting, he visited the Peace Memorial Museum, and offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims.

He also met with an A-bomb survivor at the International Conference Center, Hiroshima.

H.E. Mr. Anisul Huq, Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, visited Hiroshima and met with Mayor Matsui on October 13, 2016.

After the meeting, he visited the Peace Memorial Museum, and offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims.

H.E. Mr. Børge Brende, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Norway, visited Hiroshima and met with Mayor Matsui on October 18, 2016.

After the meeting, he visited the Peace Memorial Museum, offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims, and listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

Republic of Dominica's Director


H.E. Ing. Emilio Toribio Olivo, del Instituto Agrario Dominicano, visited Hiroshima and met with Mayor Matsui on November 11, 2016.

Prior to the meeting, he visited the Peace Memorial Museum, offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims.
