Insurance Payments

If you are eligible for the Late-stage Elderly Healthcare System, you must present your health insurance card to receive medical benefits when receiving treatment at a hospital or medical facility. Insured persons are responsible for 10% of medical expenses (or 30% for those with an income exceeding the specified amount), as well as meals and other fees during hospitalization. In addition, benefits are paid when a covered person dies or similar occurrence. Applications for payments are to be submitted to the Longevity and Health Services Division at the ward office where you live or branch office, and inquire there for more information.
