Presidents/Speakers of National Parliaments in FY2017

Rt. Hon. U Win Myint, Speaker of Pyithu Hluttaw, Republic of the Union of Myanmar, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Mayor Matsui, on November 30, 2017.

H.E. Ms. Macamo Delhovo Verónica Nataniel, President of the Assembly of the Republic of Mozambique, visited the Peace Memorial Museum, listened to an atomic bomb survivor's testimony, and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Deputy Mayor Okamura, on February 10, 2018.

Hon. Karu Jayasuriya, Speaker of the Parliament of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, met with Mayor Matsui on March 1, 2018.  Speaker Jayasuriya also listened to an atomic bomb survivor’s testimony, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome, and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims later that day.
