Presidents/Speakers of National Parliaments in FY2015

H.E. Mr. Ogtay S. Asadov, Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Deputy Mayor Nishito on April 25, 2015.

Chairman Asadov also listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

H.E. Mr. Volker Bouffier, President of the German Federal Council, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Deputy Mayor Murota on July 4, 2015.

H.E. Mr. Jan Hamacek, President of the Chamber of Deputies of the Czech Republic Parliament, visited Hiroshima to attend the Peace Memorial Ceremony.

After the ceremony Mr. Hamacek visited the Peace Memorial Museum, and the next day, August 7, met with Mayor Matsui.

H.E. Dr. Jiko Fatafehi Luveni, Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Fiji, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered flowers at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Deputy Mayor Murota on October 2, 2015.

Speaker Luveni also listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

H.E. Mr. Olemic Thommessen, President of the Storting of the Kingdom of Norway, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Mayor Matsui on March 6, 2016.

Mr. Thommessen also listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.

H.E. Ms. Pia Kjaersgaard, Speaker of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Hiroshima Peace Culture Foundation Chairperson Komizo on March 11, 2016.

H.E. Mr. Fernando da Piedade Dias dos Santos, Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Angola, met with Mayor Matsui on March 24, 2016, and the next day visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the A-bomb Victims.

Assembly Speaker Dias dos Santos also listened to an A-bomb survivor's testimony.
