Important notes
When going to receive emergency medical care
In addition to a shortage of doctors and an increase in mildly ill patients visiting during afterhours, Sundays, and national holidays, it is becoming increasingly difficult to ensure the necessary medical care for critically ill patients. If you have relatively mild symptoms, we ask that you seek medical help during usual office hours as much as possible.
For children, as their symptoms can suddenly change dramatically, we ask that you please try to take them to their regular doctors as early as possible; don’t wait. If you are unsure whether you need to take your child to be seen immediately during afterhours, please consult with the Children’s Medical Emergency Hotline (Japanese).
Emergency medical care all day, every day (24H/day, 365 days/year)
Please be aware that the following medical institutions receive a high volume of patients afterhours on Sundays and during national holidays. In addition, as critically-ill patients are given priority, you may have to wait for an extended period of time to be seen.
