Sister and Friendship City Days
Information About Sister/Friendship City Days
The City of Hiroshima has signed sister and friendship city agreements with six international cities and has continued to promote various exchange projects throughout different fields. In 2001, Hiroshima established six Sister and Friendship City Days with the aim of increasing familiarity with each of these cities and deepening citizen understanding of the meaning of exchange.
Centered around the Sister and Friendship City Days, the City of Hiroshima promotes friendship and expansion of exchange with each city through special events in which the general public can participate. Each event is managed by an executive committee composed of exchange and cooperation groups deeply connected to each city.
