Heads of State/Prime Ministers in FY2019

H.E. Mr. Donald Tusk, President of the European Council, visited the Peace Memorial Museum, released a statement, and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Mayor Matsui, on June 26, 2019.  President Tusk also had a meeting with Mayor and listened to an atomic bomb survivor’s testimony later that day.

H.E. Dr. Sebastián Piñera Echenique, President of the Republic of Chile, had a meeting with Mayor Matsui, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and the Atomic Bomb Dome, and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Mayor, on June 29, 2019.

H.R.H. Mohammed bin Salman, the Crown Prince of Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and listened to an atomic bomb survivor’s testimony on June 30, 2019. 

　　
H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, President of the Republic of Maldives, visited the Peace Memorial Museum and offered a flower wreath at the Cenotaph for the Atomic Bomb Victims, escorted by Deputy Mayor Koike, on October 26, 2019.　　　

Pope Francis, Bishop of Rome, delivered a speech at the meeting for peace held in the Peace Memorial Park on November 24, 2019.
