Stricter rules against smoking in areas outside of smoking booths have been in place since October 1, 2021.
When smoking cigarettes in public areas, the smoke and odor produced causes discomfort to many people. For this reason, fines have been issued to those who smoke cigarettes in areas outside of smoking booths since October 1, 2021. Smoking booths where smoking etiquette has not improved may be closed.
