Visual Impairments

Children who have difficulty seeing standard text/diagrams (etc) even when using magnifying lenses, but can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance

Of those whose vision is mostly less than 0.3 when using both eyes, or who have other severe vision-related impairments, children who cannot see/have extreme difficulty seeing standard texts/diagrams (etc) even when using magnifying lenses

Hearing Impairments

Children who have difficulty understanding words spoken in a normal volume despite the use of hearing aids

Of those whose hearing level is 60 decibels or above when using both ears, children who cannot hear/have extreme difficulty understanding words spoken in a normal volume despite the use of hearing aids

Intellectual Disability

Children with delayed intellectual development and mild difficulty communicating with others who need some assistance in their everyday lives and have difficulty with social adjustment

1. Children with delayed intellectual development and mild difficulty communicating with others who need frequent assistance in their everyday lives
2. Of those with delayed intellectual development which does not reach the level listed above, children who have extreme difficulty with social adjustment

Physical Disability

Children who have mild difficulty with everyday movements such as walking/writing/etc even with the use of assistive devices

1. Children whose physical disability makes it impossible/extremely difficult to perform everyday movements such as walking/writing/etc even with the use of assistive devices
2. Of those whose physical disability does not reach the level listed above, children who require constant medical monitoring and guidance

Weak Constitution

1. Children who require constant or intermittent medical care/daily control for chronic respiratory illness/other illnesses
2. Children whose physical weakness requires constant daily control

1. Children who require constant medical care/daily regulation for chronic respiratory illness, kidney disease, neurological disorders, malignant neoplasm, etc
2. Children who require constant daily regulation for their physical weakness

Language Disability

Children with the following disabilities who can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance:

• Organic/functional articulatory disorders such as cleft palate, articulary organ paralysis, etc
• Rhythmic speech disabilities such as stuttering
• Delayed fundamental language development such as speaking and listening
• Others with similar disabilities (limited to cases in which the cause for these disabilities is not caused by another disability)

Children with the following moderate to severe disabilities:

• Organic/functional articulatory disorders such as cleft palate, articulary organ paralysis, etc
• Rhythmic speech disabilities such as stuttering
• Delayed fundamental language development such as speaking and listening
• Others with similar disabilities (limited to cases in which the cause for these disabilities is not caused by another disability)

Autism

1. Children with autism or similar disorders who can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance
2. Children with disabilities such as selective mutism (etc) primarily caused by psychological factors who can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance

1. Children with autism or similar disorders who have difficulty communicating with others and forming social relationship
2. Children with disabilities such as selective mutism (etc) primarily caused by psychological factors who have difficulty with social adjustment

Emotional Disorder

1. Children with autism or similar disorders who can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance
2. Children with disabilities such as selective mutism (etc) primarily caused by psychological factors who can still mostly participate in regular classes with some special needs learning assistance

1. Children with autism or similar disorders who have difficulty communicating with others and forming social relationship
2. Children with disabilities such as selective mutism (etc) primarily caused by psychological factors who have difficulty with social adjustment

Learning Disability

Children who do not have delayed intellectual faculties, but do display a prominent difficulty in learning/applying certain skills such as listening, speaking, reading, writing, calculations, and reasoning, and thus require some special needs learning assistance

ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

Children who have been deemed to have attention spans which do not correspond with their age or development, or impulsiveness/hyperactivity, which disrupts their social life/functionality of schoolwork and thus require some special needs learning assistance
