As part of our studies this year, we read a novella called Hiroshima, by Laurence Yep. It was about the destruction of Hiroshima and what happened to the people of Hiroshima and the Hiroshima maidens after the A-bomb attack. It is terrible that people of the past, and in our present day, have chosen to use such violence against each other, rather than cooperate for the improvement of everyone. As young global citizens from every region of the world, we hope that the world will never see such terrible destruction again. |
