Due to an increase in the number of patients with mild illnesses who receive emergency medical care afterhours or on Sundays/national holidays, it is becoming difficult to ensure a medical care system for seriously ill patients due to the shortage of physicians.
We ask that patients with relatively mild symptoms visit a medical institution during usual office hours if possible.
As the medical condition of children can quickly become serious, we ask that your take your child to their regular physician as early as possible. If you cannot determine whether you should immediately take your child to a medical institution, please use the Child Emergency Telephone Consultation service.
Medical institutions can become extremely busy with patients afterhours and on Sundays/national holidays. As patients with severe medical conditions are given priority, please be aware that you may have to wait awhile.
