Article ID:0000014613 印刷ページ表示

If you have a regular physician who can provide medical care on Sundays, national holidays, and afterhours, please visit them first.

When you cannot contact your regular physician, please contact one of the following (note that all links go to Japanese pages).

Afterhours Medical Care

The Senda-machi Afterhours Emergency Medical Center <外部リンク>(internal medicine (for those 15 years and older), ophthalmology, orthopedic/trauma department (injuries)) and the Kabe Afterhours Emergency Medical Center <外部リンク>(internal medicine (for those 15 years and older), excluding Sundays and national holidays) are available. Saturday afterhours emergency medical care for ear, nose, and throat patients at Hiroshima City Funairi Citizens Hospital<外部リンク> will not be provided to prevent the spread of COVID-19. If you need emergency care during this time, please contact the Hiroshima Regional Urban Area Emergency Consultation Center (if you can’t get through dialing #7119, or if you’re calling from a mobile phone in Yamaguchi Prefecture, please call 082-246-2000).

Pediatric Emergencies

The Hiroshima City Funairi Citizens Hospital <外部リンク>and the Hiroshima City Asa Citizens Hospital <外部リンク>provide emergency medical care 24 hours a day and afterhours on Sundays, respectively (please be aware that Funairi Citizens Hospital is usually quite crowded with patients).

  • When going to a medical institution, make sure to confirm in advance whether you can receive medical care and to take your health insurance card with you.

Request Regarding Emergency Medical Services

Due to an increase in the number of patients with mild illnesses who receive emergency medical care afterhours or on Sundays/national holidays, it is becoming difficult to ensure a medical care system for seriously ill patients due to the shortage of physicians.

We ask that patients with relatively mild symptoms visit a medical institution during usual office hours if possible.

As the medical condition of children can quickly become serious, we ask that your take your child to their regular physician as early as possible. If you cannot determine whether you should immediately take your child to a medical institution, please use the Child Emergency Telephone Consultation service.

24/7 Emergency Medical Care

Medical institutions can become extremely busy with patients afterhours and on Sundays/national holidays. As patients with severe medical conditions are given priority, please be aware that you may have to wait awhile.
