Visiting the Atomic Bomb Dome

Visitors to the Atomic Bomb Dome can view the site from outside of its perimeter fence; access beyond which is not permitted to the general public.

How to Get There

Public Transport (please note that travel time does not include waiting or transfer times)

From JR Hiroshima Station (South Entrance)

Via Streetcar

• Take the No 2. (bound for Miyajima (宮島) or Nishi-Hiroshima Station (西広島駅)) or the No. 6 (bound for Eba (江波)) and get off at Genbaku-dome Mae (原爆ドーム前) (approx. 20 mins)

Via Bus

• Take a bus to the Kamiya-cho (紙屋町) stop and walk west for approximately 5-10 minutes (approx. 15-20 mins in total)
• Take a bus to the Genbaku-dome Mae (原爆ドーム前) stop (approx. 15 mins)

From Hiroshima Airport

• Take the Airport Limousine Bus to Hiroshima Bus Center (広島バスセンター). From there, walk south-west for approximately 5 minutes (approx. 1 hour in total)
• Take the Airport Limousine Bus to Hiroshima Station Shinkansen Entrance (広島駅新幹線口//Hiroshima-eki Shinkansen-guchi). From there, take the overpass walkway to Hiroshima Station South Exit and travel to the Atomic Bomb Dome via streetcar or bus (see above) (limousine bus to Hiroshima Station takes approx. 45 minutes).

Parking Facilities Near the Atomic Bomb Dome

Parking facilities are only available for tour buses; charged parking facilities are available nearby.
