COVID-19 infections have risen sharply in Hiroshima City, and the risk of infection is higher than ever. In order to prevent the spread of infection at nursery schools (etc) where so many children spend their time, we ask for your cooperation with the following:
- If your child or someone close to them is suspected to have COVID-19 in the slightest (such as receiving a PCR test, etc), contact your nursery school as soon as possible.
- Be sure to keep track of your child’s health at home by taking their temperature (etc) before they go to nursery school (etc).
- If you or your child have symptoms such as a fever, cough, fatigue, loss of sense of taste/smell (etc), please stay at home and avoid going to nursery school; be sure to contact your local medical institution or the COVID-19 Call Center (082-241-4566) and seek advice.
- From December 12, 2020 (Sat) to January 3, 2021 (Sun), the City of Hiroshima, in cooperation with Hiroshima Prefecture, is under Intensive COVID-19 Infection Prevention Measures. You can find more information about these measures here; we ask for your cooperation.
- The Mayor of Hiroshima has also issued a message to the citizens of Hiroshima City on December 11; text can be found here.
