Hiroshima Prefecture has established a Levels of COVID-19 Infection system which ranks the level of infection from 4 (highest) to 1 (lowest). Please take the necessary measures according to each level.
No matter what the current level is, we ask that each of you continue to take measures to prevent the spread of infection such as avoiding the 3Cs, managing your health, frequently washing your hands, practicing proper coughing etiquette, and practice social distancing.
The infection level is decided by specialists, taking into account the numbers of new cases, doubling time, percentage of cases in which the route of infection cannot be traced, PCR testing systems, patient acceptance situation at medical facilities, and the situation securing places for patients with mild cases of COVID-19 to stay while receiving treatment. Depending on the level, requests for avoiding unnecessary outings and how far they extend, as well as restrictions on facilities usage will change, so please be aware of the current level.

We would especially like to ask that citizens avoid facilities which are under usage restrictions by their respective prefecture.
In order to both prevent the spread of COVID-19 and boost the local economy, we ask that citizens of the Chugoku Region keep the following in mind:
For national and largescale events, we ask that event planners act with the utmost care and cancel/postpone events which do not follow risk assessment protocol.
We also ask that events consider creating lists of participants to keep track of where to contact them, or using smartphone apps in development which track contact between people.

At the current Infection Level (Level 1), no facilities fall under the request to close operations; however, we request that each facility strictly adheres to the infection prevention measures, such as those decided by each industry organization as well as the Prefecture, and makes use of the rules set out in the New Style of Working<外部リンク> (Japanese) so that the citizens of the prefecture can make use of your facilities without worry.

We have created the Hiroshima Prefecture COVID-19 Safety Measure Checklist (for Restaurants) to help support restaurants in making effective decisions about infection prevention measures. Using this checklist, we ask that all restaurants decide upon measures which work for their situation and begin implementing them immediately.
Businesses which declare their voluntary measures to Hiroshima Prefecture will be given a certificate which declares them to be a COVID-19 Infection Prevention Measures Partner.
