Call Center for Housing Benefits Applications (as of 4/30/2020)

On April 20, 2020, those eligible for housing benefits* now include those who have not lost their jobs or businesses, but are still in similar circumstances as those previously eligible.

*The housing benefit system provides the equivalent of rent to those who are struggling financially due to loss of job or loss of business and have (a) lost their housing or (b) are in danger of losing their housing.

With the expansion in eligibility, we have established the Call Center for Housing Benefits Applications so that we may help process questions and applications from our citizens while still working to stop the spread of COVID-19.

Note: one of the requirements to receive the benefit (apply for work through Hello Work offices) has been removed for the time being.
